Daily December Critturs Day #15

Daily December Crittur #15  is sort of like a silly owl. Instead of hooting who-who-who, it warbles what-what-what!

Please see Daily December Day #1 for details on how I created this journal.

These critturs were numbered using the Daily December Plate1430! from Viva Las VegaStamps!  The basic idea for the journal came from an exercise in Carla Sonheim's 'Drawing and Painting Imaginary Animals'.

  1. Love these colors, what medium did you use?

  2. Thank you! All of these were done the same way. I gesso'd up mail flyers and colored them with by dropping Alcohol inks onto them.

  3. what-what-what-a-wattle. Love the broken? nose - wonder how that came about, maybe there's a New Year's Day Crittur that goes around bopping other critturs noses to remind them of last year's broken New Year resolutions.

  4. Actually the nose isn't broken--it's flexible, sort of like an elephant's trunk! That's my story and I'm sticking to it!

  5. I know of grey elephants with grey trunks, pink elephants have pink ones, (and wings but that's another story)... but I never knew there were elephants that were blue. And this crittur, with a blue-elephant trunk, can't sing the blues, can only warble what-what-what???
