Well, here's the first set from latest Bleedthrumanade with Rubber Cement resist. Since I covered over 5 pages, I thought it might work better to break things down a bit.
I felt the Faber-Castell portion was too harsh and wanted to tone down the white, so I used ArtGrip Aquarelle Watercolor pencils (dry) to add some color.
But the background was still too dark for a black pen, and the resist too light for a white gel pen. What to do? I decided nothing was probably best, and decided make this a two-page spread.
There was quite a difference between the top and the bottom, so my next challenge was to tie the two looks together. I was already seeing the Heaven & Earth, and mountains and a stream, so I decided to bring the sky color down to the bottom. A little Faber-Castell Big Brush, and ArtGrip Aquarelle and I felt the two pages were as married as ever Heaven and Earth would be, lol!
After I tangled though, I felt that I'd lost the effect of the resist the bottom half. Good excuse for more experimenting! I need to think larger tangles, open spaces I think. Can't wait to see what happens, lol, 'cause I sure don't know!
What can I say? I love your Bleedthrumanades!
