Okay everyone, cover your ears while I squeal and stomp about in a mad happy dance!
My Summer issue (Issue 176, Vol 34) of RubberStampMadness (RSM) magazine just arrived in the mail, and it is awesome! Not the least because I have two pieces of my artwork in it.
The inside cover has the ad I did for Viva Las Vegastamps! Every scrap of the page. There isn't even a white border, lol. I own that page. (Cover your ears. I'm squealing again! I'm so excited--can you tell?)
The second bit is on page 47, and I'm sharing it with other talented members of the Viva Las Vegastamps! Design Team. Beautiful cards by Terri Sproul, Lyneen Jesse, and Susan M. Brown are sitting on a background done by yours truly. The design was done by Crea8tive Compass and it's ... can I use the word 'awesome' again? It's beyond awesome!
The themes for this issue are Family, Steampunk, and Composition. The articles:
Editor's Space: Rubberta's highest priority
Tips & Techniques: Adding borders with puff paint
Card Shoppe: Mastering the Art of Framing
Spotlight: Exciting new stamps & products
Welcome to Carvonia: Carvers swap their art
Steampunk: Move over, Jules Verne
Perfectly Composed: Stamping elaborate scenes
We are Family: Honoring life's great treasures
Coloring with PanPastels:
Quick Cards: Stamping with hot colors
Where the Stamps are: The best stamp stores
Short Takes
Calendar of Stamp Shows
Album of Cat Art
Bulletin Board
Submitting artwork to RSM
Reinker: Cards for Father's Day & the 4th of July
Pyramid Dolls: The Queen gets a royal treatment
Cover Artist: Anne Schuster's Steampunk creation is just gear-fab
I want to thank Wayne Gartley for thinking of me when planning his advertisements, and Angela and Jenna from RSM for helping me through the technicalities. They did a marvelous job setting up my artwork!
The magazine is due to arrive in stores soon, but meanwhile, you can subscribe or order single issues from the magazine subscription department or order a copy from Viva Las Vegastamps! while you're ordering some stamps.

I got my copy today also. Congratulations! I think I could actually recognize your work from your art I've seen on Flickr. I'm so happy for you, and you did an amazing job on both pieces.

Sandra this is fantastic news. I know when the spring issue came out I think you thought your ad was in that issue and I believe you asked for hugs one day as you were down, and I think my hubby got that issue for me that same day and I realized that was probably why you were down.
ReplyDeleteSo happy dance for you and gee I guess I will have to buy that issue too now. LOL
