I need to spend more time working with reds and pinks! Reds are such powerful colors, and I'm not drawn to them, so I neglect using them. Then when I want to, I really struggle to get the values I want.
The water in this photo had a subtle gleam rather than sparks of light. I didn't capture that as well I wished, so that is another thing to practice. That's one of the nice things about painting -- there is always a new challenge so it never grows boring!
