If you are here for the Stillman & Birn Beta Series Softcover Edition giveaway, you can find it here.
I was asked if I had used Stillman & Birn's Beta paper for colored pencil, and the answer is yes. Many times. Colored pencil isn't my favorite medium so I didn't use it for my review earlier this week, but it's a good question. I was also curious to see how well the dots from my Cuttlelola electric pen would show up under colored pencil, so I drew this picture...
...and colored it with colored pencil. Kind of a waste of the Cuttlelola ink because most of the ink was lost, which I suspected, but ya never know till you try.
Color pencil itself works well on the Beta paper, though I prefer the Stillman & Birn Alpha series paper for it. The paper allows for several layers of color and burnishes well for deeper color and blending. I used a white acrylic pen to add some highlights.
