Here's another chance to practice your hatching skills. Start with solid shading, then fill the next section with lines that are as close together as possible. In the section after that, try to get approximately one line for every two in the section above. Don't sweat it though.
You can get a lot of variation by how many sections you add inside the circle, and how close together your lines are. Play around and see the difference it makes.
I'm making this pattern do double-duty. Laura Harms' challenge this week was Purple Haze, so I'm making this my entry.
