Schut Noblesse Watercolor Block & Special Effects #Giveaway, #SchutNoblesse #Exaclair

This week I'm sharing work done on Schut Noblesse watercolor block.  For a review of this paper, please check out my Monday post.  If you are interested in purchasing Schut Papier's fine art papers, check out the Exaclair website for a list of retailers who sell  the Schut  Noblesse Watercolor blocks and sheets.

For the third week of my watercolor class we played with texture.  The first painting below was done by scrunching up plastic wrap into wet watercolor and letting the paint dry.  Afterwards, I used a Pigma Micron pen to bring out some of the texture and add to the skeletal feeling that I saw.

The second piece was done using salt.  I've never had such extreme results before. Timing is critical with this technique, but even assuming I never got the timing right before, I think it's the paper that did it.  Since I did this piece, I tried the technique again, and had the same result.

If you can't wait to see if you won, check out the Exaclair website for a list of retailers who sell the Schut   Noblesse Watercolor blocks and sheets.
