This is a painting I did in my first watercolor with Kathy Delumpa Allegri. I'm not sure why I haven't posted it before now, lol.
On the last day of class we have a potluck. I brought in ... wait for it .... melons! I put out half for everyone to eat, and set up the rest as a still life. The painting was done on Shizen paper, a rough hand-made paper from India, that I really like working on!

Between the texture of the paper and your painting, there is wonderful texture here.
ReplyDeleteThank you! It's a great paper. It takes a bit of practice because the paint lifts easily, but I realily like working on it.
