Malachite Kingfisher: Week 52 of 52 Weeks of Watercolor Birds #WorldWatercolorGroup #Watercolor #52WeeksOfWatercolorBirds
If you are here for the giveaway of a Rhodiarama Softcover DotGrid Journal, you can find it here.
It's finished! I've painted 52 birds - well, actually more than 52 because I did a few outside of my journal.
I always itch to finish towards the end of a journal, but I've really enjoyed discovering new species of birds and getting re-acquainted with ones I've known. I am going to do something similar for 2017, though I haven't decided for sure if I'll go with a theme, or be a little more loose. I may just commit to doing a painting every week. I've already bought myself a Stillman & Birn 9 x 12 Beta sketchbook for the purpose.

This bird was painted in the Global Art Materials Field Watercolor Artist Journal Hand Book, 7 by 10-Inch that I'm using for the '52 Weeks of Watercolour Birds'.
