Unexpectedly, Exaclair, Inc. sent me a pad of Schut Terschelling Classic Watercolor paper, 140 lb, with a note telling me I could use it or give it away.
Augh! The hard decisions...
But. although I'd love to keep it, I get so much and really feel it's necessary to share. I do let greed have it's way with me on occasion, but I try to keep from letting it happen too often, lol.
So. A giveaway, it is.
The paper is in a wire-bound pad with perforations for easy removal. The texture isn't quite as rough as it looks in the scan, but there is definitely tooth and texture.
When I did my series of mini-reviews last year, I didn't have any of the 140 lb Cold-pressed, but I did a couple of reviews, one on the 95 lb and one on the 115 lb, so this will be very similar. I didn't want to use up paper from the giveaway pad, so I've listed links to these reviews, if you want to know more about the paper.
My reviews:
Schut Terschelling AquarelBloc Classic Cold-Pressed 115 lb
Schut Terschelling AquarelBloc Classic Cold-Pressed 95 lbs

ReplyDeleteHow kind and generously of you! I've been thinking about starting to paint again. This might be just the boost I need! Thank you for the giveaway opportunity! If I win, I will share my first masterpiece with you. cat.trask@yahoo.com
ReplyDeleteThank you for going with a "giveaway"! I have been exploring the use of watercolors with tangles. I enjoy doing large pieces, that make a huge impact. Adding color without challenging the tangles is important to me, I hope to explore my ideas with watercolor paper as in this giveaway.

Oh, I would love to win, thank you!!!
ReplyDeleteWow, how awesome of you to give this away! You have no idea how happy something as simple as a pad of watercolor paper would make me! (Sadly, I only get to buy art supplies once a year at tax time.) I made do with what I have and can afford, but it would definitely be awesome to have something new to experiment with. Your art and your generosity are very much appreciated.
